Actress Anne Francis, the star of the 1960's private eye TV series "Honey West" has died.
Francis, a former contract player with MGM studios, had numerous film roles, including "Forbidden Planet" and "Blackboard Jungle", as well as starring in a memorable 2-part episode of "The Untouchables" TV series.
In "Honey West", airing 30 episodes from 1965-1966, Francis' Emmy-nominated private detective was a female James Bond, sexy, stylish and"...as good with martial arts as she was with a gun..."
"The character made young women think there was more they could reach for," said Francis.
