HBO Likes Dunham's "Girls"

According to reports, HBO has picked up the new comedy series "Girls", created by and starring Lena Dunham, director of the indie feature "Tiny Furniture".

Premise of the series will "...provide a comic look at the humiliations and triumphs of a group of women in their early 20s..."

Filming is set to begin this spring, starring Jemima Kirke ("Tiny Furniture"), Allison Williams ("American Dreams"), Adam Driver ("You Don't Know Jack") and Zosia Mamet ("Mad Men").

Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner will executive produce with Dunham.
