"All-Star Superman" DVD- February 22, 2011

Creator Grant Morrison’s Eisner Award-winning "All-Star Superman" is the newest entry in the ongoing series of "DC Universe Animated Original Movies" from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.

The full-length film will be distributed by Warner Home Video, February 22, 2011 as a Blu-ray Combo Pack, 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and single disc DVD. The film will also be available On Demand and for Download.

"...In 'All-Star Superman', the 'Man of Steel' rescues an ill-fated mission to the Sun (sabotaged by 'Lex Luthor') and, in the process, is oversaturated by radiation – which accelerates his cell degeneration.

"Sensing even he will be unable to cheat death, Superman ventures into new realms – finally revealing his secret to 'Lois', confronting Lex Luthor’s perspective of humanity, and attempting to ensure Earth’s safety before his own impending end with one final, selfless act..."

"All-Star Superman" is executive produced by Bruce Timm and directed by Sam Liu ("Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths") from a script by Dwayne McDuffie.

"Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel" DVD- December 7

According to Oscar-winning Canadian filmmaker Brigitte Berman ("Artie Shaw: Time Is All You've Got"), her acclaimed 2010 documentary "Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel" will be available on DVD, December 7, 2010.

Hardwicke Walks With "The Maze Runner"

According to reports, Catherine Hardwicke ("Twilight") is in talks to direct 20th Century Fox' "The Maze Runner", based on the first book in author James Dashner's sci-fi trilogy, from Random House's Delacorte Press.

Dashner is expected to adapt the screenplay for producer Lindsay Williams of The Gotham Group.

Premise of the books, focuses on a boy named 'Thomas' who wakes up in the mysterious 'Glade', an enclosed structure populated by other boys, surrounded by stone walls that protect them from monsters called the 'Grievers'.

Columbia Leaps Into "21 Jump Street"

Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures, reports that actors Jonah Hill ("Superbad") and Channing Tatum ("Dear John") are set to star in a 'contemporary' motion picture adaptation of "21 Jump Street".

Both Hill and Tatum have been given executive producer credits on the project, to be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from a screenplay by Michael Bacall, based on a treatment by Hill and Bacall.

Neal H. Moritz will produce, with the late Stephen J. Cannell, creator of the original Vancouver-lensed TV series, receiving a posthumous producer credit.

Hannah Minghella and Jonathan Kadin will oversee production of the film on behalf of Columbia.

An early hit for Fox Broadcasting, "21 Jump Street", focused on young cops who work undercover in high schools and colleges. The series starred Johnny Depp from 1987-1991.

Bay Hooks Up With Victoria's Secret For "A Thousand Fantasies"

The extended cut of the 2010 "Victoria's Secret" holiday commercial, "A Thousand Fantasies" aired November 30 on CBS during "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show".

The spot is directed by Michael Bay ("Transformers") , starring Victoria's Secret 'Angels', Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Chanel Iman, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Katsia Zingarevich, and Erin Heatherton.

"...The Angels literally stopped traffic while filming at Chicago's La Salle Bridge and also took over the historic Lyric Opera House in Chicago and the Milwaukee Art Museum..."

"Our holiday campaigns have a certain requirement to be fairly epic at this point", said Ed Razek, Victoria's Secret Chief Marketing Officer. "We hire the biggest directors in the world to shoot the biggest models in the world."

"The Mechanic": Someone Has To Fix The Problems

Sneak Peek the poster to CBS Films upcoming action feature, "The Mechanic", directed by Simon West ("Lara Croft: Tomb Raider") starring Jason Statham ("Crank").

The new film is a remake of the 1972 action feature "The Mechanic", starring Charles Bronson :

"...'Arthur Bishop' (Statham) is a 'mechanic' - an elite assassin with a strict code and unique 'talent' for eliminating targets. It's a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment and Bishop is the best in the business.
