According to reports, actress Alex Frnka ("Unanswered Prayers") has been cast as the female lead in MTV's upcoming half-hour pilot "The Inbetweeners", a remake of the award-winning Brit TV series.
Premise of the original series follows four male high school students, who belong to the 'inbetweeners', ie. teenagers "...who are not the most cool and popular but not geeky enough to be branded uncool..."
Frnka will play a high-school teen for director Taika Waititi, starting January 10, 2011 in Orlando, Florida from a script by Brad Copeland.Copeland will executive produce with Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, creators of the original series, and Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment.
