Aliens Invade In "Battle: Los Angeles"

From Relativity Media and Original Film, the Columbia Pictures release "Battle: Los Angeles" (aka "World Invasion: Battle LA") is a new science fiction feature, opening March 11, 2011, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena, and Bridget Moynahan.

Set in modern day LA, focusing on a platoon of US Marines during a global 'alien invasion', the movie was inspired by the 1942 'Battle of Los Angeles' incident in which a presumed enemy attack, later categorized as a 'false alarm', led to an hour-long anti-aircraft artillery bombardment over the city of Los Angeles.

Rodriguez plays 'Technical Sergeant Elana Santos', Eckhart is 'Marine Staff Sergeant', Lucas Till is 'Corporal Grayston', Joey King is 'Kirsten', Taylor Handley is 'Simmons', Noel Fisher is 'Private Lenihan', Ramón Rodríguez is 'Lieutenant Ramirez', Neil Brown Jr. is 'Corporal Guerrerro', Ne-Yo is 'Specks' and Cory Hardrict is 'Lockett'.
