"Namor: The First Mutant"

Marvel Comics presents "Namor: The First Mutant" , from the creative team of Stuart Moore and Ariel Olivetti.
"...A stunning 'Curse Of The Mutants' tie-in, this new ongoing series puts 'Namor' on a path with his deadliest foes yet—'Atlantean Vampires' hell-bent on destroying his kingdom. "When vampires infest the depths of the dark ocean floor, the 'Sub-Mariner' must make a life-altering decision…does he stand with 'Atlantis' or the 'X-Men'?
"Namor takes matters into his own hands on a mission that might bring down the entire might of the vampires on their heads and in the process, destroy Atlantis.
"What lurks down below the ocean where the sun can't reach? Namor's choice, will define a new chapter in his life...or death..."
Created in 1939 by writer/illustrator Bill Everett, 'Namor' was born in the capital of the 'Atlantean Empire', located off the Antarctic coast, the son of 'Fen', the 'sea-mammal' daughter of 'Atlantean Emperor Thakorr' and an American sea captain, 'Leonard McKenzie', of the icebreaker 'Oracle'.
When Fen failed to return from investigating the ship, Thakorr sent soldiers to attack the Oracle, not realizing his daughter was having consensual sex with McKenzie.
In the ensuing attack, McKenzie was killed and Fen was returned to the kingdom. Nine months later, a pink-skinned child was born among the blue-skinned Atlanteans.
When he matured, Namor would adventure in the oceans, with his Atlantean woman 'Namora', and on the surface to keep an eye on the human race.
Although distrustful of humans, Namor was more than willing to join the Allies in their battles across Europe during World War II.
Director Joe Johnston, currently directing the period piece "Captain America: The First Avenger", will include Namor as part of "The Invaders" super-hero team, first appearing in the 1940's "All Winners" comic books, alongside 'The Human Torch' and 'Captain America'.
Marvel Studios are also re-booting "The Fantastic Four", with a nod to 'The Invisible Girl' (aka 'Sue Storm') and her overwhelming infatuation with Namor, despite her marriage to 'Reed Richards' aka 'Mr. Fantastic'.
