Warners Preps "All-Star Superman"

Actors James Denton, Christina Hendricks and Anthony LaPaglia will voice the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie, based on DC comics 12-issue comic book series "All-Star Superman".

The 2005 series was written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quitely, winning three comic book industry Eisner Awards, two Harvey Awards and three Eagle Awards.

Premise of the comic books follows the 'Man of Steel' as he is oversaturated by radiation during a rescue mission near the sun, accelerating the degeneration of his cells. Knowing that he has a limited time before he dies, 'Superman' sets out on a journey that sees him revealing his secret identity to 'Lois Lane'.

Also starring in the voice cast are Ed Asner, Frances Conroy, Linda Cardellini, Arnold Vosloo and Matthew Gray Gubler, for executive producer Bruce Timm.

Director is Sam Liu.

"All-Star Superman", the animated feature will be available Spring 2011.
