Anchor Bay Unleashes "Bollywood Hero" March 2

Anchor Bay Entertainment will release the IFC, 3-part musical mini-series, "Bollywood Hero" on March 2, co-produced by IFC and Starz Media, starring actor Chris 'Mango' Kattan ("Saturday Night Live"), playing himself as a disgruntled actor overlooked by Hollywood.

Searching for options, he accepts an offer to star in a big-budget Mumbai film called 'Peculiar Dancing Boy' , kissing off his LA connections and setting off into a new world of culture clashes and extreme dancing.

"...It’s a wild ride that takes the idea of 'stranger in a strange land' to a fanciful new level as Kattan and crew lampoon Hollywood, Bollywood and themselves. It’s as much reality as fiction, as we get a very real journey to some of the most beautiful and exotic spots India has to offer..."

"Bollywood Hero" features six original dance sequences by choreographer Longinus Fernandes (choreographer for "Slumdog Millionaire").

Cast includes Maya Rudolph ("A Prairie Home Companion"), Julian Sands ("24"), Pooja Kumar ('Miss India USA 1995') and Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia ('Miss India 2002') with Jennifer Coolidge, David Alan Grier and Keanu Reeves.

Anchor Bay Entertainment, an exclusive distributor of theatrical titles for Overture Films, is the home entertainment division of Starz Media, LLC, including Anchor Bay Films and Manga Entertainment brands. The company distributes feature films, children’s entertainment, fitness, TV series, documentaries and anime on DVD/Blu-ray formats.
