The world's first film lensed entirely by apes, will be broadcast by the BBC as part of a BBC Natural World documentary. Created by chimps using a specially designed 'monkey-proof' camera, "Chimpcam" was created by primatologist Betsy Herrelko, studying for a PhD in primate behaviour at the University of Stirling, UK.
For 18 months, Herrelko introduced the camera to a group of 11 chimpanzees living in a newly built 'set' enclosure at the UK's Edinburgh Zoo.
