Director/producer Ridley "Blade Runner" Scott has attached writer John "Gladiator" Logan to script an adaptation of Jonathan Ainsley's upcoming vampire novel, "The Passage" for Fox 2000.
'Ainsley' is the pseudonym of award-winning author Justin Cronin.
Premise follows terminally ill patients in South America, miraculously cured after being bitten by a certain breed of bat. The government then begins conducting tests until the experiments 'go awry', with newly created vampires, including death row inmates, unleashed into the world.
