Actress Jessica "Powder Blue" Biel will join the upcoming Vancouver-lensed feature "The A-Team", adapting the 1980's TV series for director Joe "Narc" Carnahan.
Biel will play a former lover of the character known as 'Faceman'.
Actor Liam "Dark Man" Neeson has also been cast as 'Col. Hanibal Smith'.
The film started production September 14 and will lense until Dec 11, with a 20th Century Fox theatrical release set for June 11, 2010.
The original TVSir Ridley "Blade Runner" Scott will produce the film with Jules Daly and series co-creator Stephen J. Cannell. Ridley's brother Tony "Domino" Scott will executive produce for Scott Free.
Carnahan and Brian Bloom developed the screenplay by Skip "Wolverine" Woods.
The original "TV series A-Team" was an action adventure about a group of ex-US Army Special Forces soldiers who work as mercenaries, while on the run from the military for a "crime they didn't commit".
The show was created by writer/producers Frank Lupo and Cannell (who also collaborated on the Vancouver-lensed "Wiseguy") and "Dirty Harry" knockoff series "Hunter".
The "A-Team" series ran for five seasons on NBC, January 23, 1983 to December 30, 1986 for a total of 98 episodes.
The name of the show is derived from "A-teams",a code word for the 'Operational Detachments Alpha (ODA), used by the US Army Special Forces for their 12-man direct operations teams.
