Legendary Pictures is developing a new feature biopic about guitarist/singer Jimi Hendrix, to be produced by Thomas "It Might Get Loud" Tull and Bill Gerber.

Screenplay is by Max "What Is Life Worth?" Borenstein.

Legendary's plan is to develop the project first, then try to win the cooperation of the Jimi Hendrix estate, controlled by the late musician's step-sister Janie Hendrix, in order to use the musician's original recordings.
