"Bandslam" is the upcoming musical-romantic comedy, produced by Walden Media and Summit Entertainment, following teenagers with a shared love of music.
Previously titled "Will" and "Rock On", "Bandslam" stars actors Gaelan Connell, Aly Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens and Lisa Kudrow.
Filmed in Austin, Texas, with additional scenes lensed in New York City, the $20 million feature focuses on student 'Will Burton' (Connell), his attraction to former cheerleader 'Charlotte Banks' (Michalka) and the formation/management of Charlotte's rock/ska band.
"Bandslam" opens August 14.
