Actor Jason "The Bank Job" Statham is in negotiations to star in "Blitz", adapting author Ken Bruen's bestseller, about a killer targeting police officers.Lionsgate UK will fully finance the project, with Mandate handling international sales.
Statham will play a tough cop assigned to the case, with Paddy Considine as his partner.
Screenplay is by Nathan Parker for director Elliott Lester.
