"The Time Traveler's Wife", based on author Audrey Niffenegger's 2003 novel, is a new romantic feature directed by Robert Schwentke, starring actors Eric "The Hulk" Bana and Canadian actress Rachel McAdams.
The film follows a Chicago librarian (Eric Bana) with a peculiar 'genetic disorder' that causes him to 'time travel' whenever he gets stressed out. Although he disappears for long periods of time, he tries to build a romantic relationship with artist 'Clare Abshire' (Rachel McAdams).
"...The Time Traveler's Wife is the love story of Henry and Clare, a married couple living in Chicago. Their lives together are complicated by a mystifying and exasperating genetic condition that causes Henry to involuntarily time travel. While Clare is left wondering if the man she always knew she would marry is safe from harm, Henry is taken on unpredictable jaunts, alternately harrowing and amusing.
