According to reports from BigGameHunter, original "Saw" co-writer/director James Wan, has been attached to write/direct a Crystal Sky feature film adptation of "Castlevania", based on the video game series created/developed by Konami.

The first "Castlevania" game debuted in Japan in 1986, becoming a recognized landmark in the design of action platforming games, with players assuming the role of 'Simon Belmont', a descendant of a 'vampire hunter' bloodline, who travels to 'Castlevania', to fight his way past demonic creatures in his quest to destroy 'Dracula'.

Belmont's main weapon is the 'Vampire Killer Whip', while secondary weapons, inspired by legends/folklore regarding vampires and related supernatural beings, are powered by 'Hearts'.
A "Castlevania" feature film was previously in development, but in December 2007, Rogue Pictures halted their participation, due to the writers' strike and, later, the sale of the studio to Relativity Media.

The first R-rated "Saw" film, directed by Wan and released by Lionsgate October 2004, has so far earned over $55 million at the box office, from a production budget of $1.2 million...
