Actress Amber "Pineapple Express" Heard is in negotiations to play the female lead opposite actor Johnny Depp in "Rum Diary," an adaptation of author Hunter S. Thompson's novel, to be written/directed by Bruce Robinson.Heard's character 'Chenault' will be part of a love triangle in the story of hard-drinking journalist 'Paul Kemp' (Depp) set in 1950's Puerto Rico.
