Actor Keanu "The Matrix" Reeves will star in a 20 Century Fox big screen, live action adaptation of Japanese anime TV series "Cowboy Bebop".Reeves will play 'Spike Spiegel', a bounty hunter traveling through space, circa 2071 in the spaceship 'Bebop.
Peter Craig will write the screenplay.
Sunrise Inc., producers of the anime series will also be involved with the development of the English-language project, with Sunrise's Kenji Uchida, Shinichiro Watanabe and series writer Keiko Nobumoto serving as associate producers and series producer Masahiko Minami serving as production consultant.
