With the working title "2012", director Roland "Independence Day" Emmerich will helm "Farewell Atlantis" for Sony Pictures, scheduled to start shooting in Vancouver July 28.Based on a screenplay he wrote with Harald Kloser, "Farewell" is reportedly in the vein of "Day After Tomorrow", where the world goes through upheaval as the apocalypse comes closer.
The title refers to the year that ends the Mayan calendar....
