Reports confirm that the upcoming "Max Payne" feature, based on the video game series, will start shooting in Toronto, February 2008, as 20th Century Fox ramps up their production slate, before next summer's anticipated strike by the Screen Actors Guild.

The original "Max Payne" game focused on anti-hero 'Max Payne', an undercover DEA agent in New York City, strung-out over the destruction of his family by a group of junkies.

When an undercover meeting goes bad, Max gets mixed up in the middle of a turf war, becomes a suspect in a crime he didn’t commit, then takes the law into his own hands...
