A crew of mainstream celebrity singers learn the art of country crooning in the upcoming CMT series, "Gone Country", hosted by John Rich.

The seven-episode series takes seven established performers from the entertainment industry and 'immerses' them in all things country for a chance to break out as a superstar.

"Gone Country" premieres with a special one-hour episode Friday, January 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The series includes singer/songwriter Carnie Wilson, 'Twisted Sister' lead singer Dee Snider, Diana DeGarmo, Julio Iglesias, Jr. and actress Maureen McCormick.

From performing in front of a Nashville audience, getting a crash course in southern cooking to ATV off-roading, the cast learns about the country music lifestyle, paired with Nashville songwriters who guide them in writing lyrics/music for a country single debuting in the series finale.

At the end of two weeks, the artist most prepared to impress a country audience will record/release their song to radio.

"Gone Country" is executive produced by David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe of Renegade 83 Productions, with executive producers Marc Oswald, Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit...
