F/X supervisor Patrick Tatopoulos, noted for developing 'creatures' in the first two "Underworld" films, will direct the third entry "Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans," starring Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy and Rhona Mitra, from a screenplay by Danny McBride.To be distributed by Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gems, "Underworld" creator Len Wiseman will produce "Lycans" with Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Skip Williamson.
The prequel will trace the origins of the blood feud between vampires known as 'Death Dealers' and their onetime 'werewolf' slaves.Shooting starts January 2008 in Auckland, New Zealand...
