Premiering December 10th with back-to-back episodes, A&E will chronicle the case files of the 'Paranormal Research Society' (PRS), a real-life 'ghostbusting' group comprised of Penn State University college students, in the new TV series "Paranormal State".

Ryan Buell is director/founder of PRS and the central character in "Paranormal State". Ryan and his college-age team of paranormal investigators spend their time looking into the strange and bizarre while trying to find balance within their lives.

The PRS team, started in 2001, has worked on cases involving demonic possession and exorcism.

From the producers of "Laguna Beach", the show follows Ryan and the PRS as they set out on cases using 'Electronic Voice Phenomenon' (EVP) recordings, client interviews, video documentation and help from outside experts including psychics, Penn State University psychologists and counselors.

"Paranormal State" is produced by Four Seasons Productions Intl and Go Go Luckey! Productions for A&E Networks. Gary Auerbach, Julie Auerbach and Betsy Schechter are the executive producers. A&E executive producers are Robert Sharenow and Elaine Frontain Bryant.
