Warner Home Video (WHV) and DC Comics will release "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" and "The Adventures of Aquaman on DVD, October 23rd.As the final installment to producer Hanna-Barbera’s 12-year network run of the "Super Friends" TV series on ABC, "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" features the voice of actor Adam West as 'Batman'.
Based on 'Justice League', the series is noted for adaptations of DC comic book characters, including 'Darkseid of Apokolips', 'Kalibak', 'DeSaad', 'Firestorm' and 'Cyborg', in a 2-disk edition featuring a total of eight 22-minute episodes.
WHV will also release the CBS 'Aquaman' cartoons in "The Adventures of Aquaman", featuring the 'King of the Seven Seas' battling 'Black Manta' and 'The Fisherman', using his 'aqua-telepathy' to communicate with creatures of the deep.Aquaman is joined by sidekick 'Aqualad', 'Mera' the 'Atlantean', pet walrus 'Tusky' and sea horses 'Storm' and 'Imp'. The 2-disc edition includes 36 "Aquaman" animated shorts.
"These two nostalgic series helped shape 'Super Hero' animation and will provide inspiration for future generations", said WHV Vice President Dorinda Marticorena.
