A&E Unleashes The "Dog" Days Of Summer...

Forty years ago, Duane “Dog” Chapman dropped out of school in the seventh grade.

Thirty years ago, Dog began a five year sentence for his involvement in a murder.

After serving nineteen months in a Texas prison, Dog emerged, determined to turn his life around.

A&E now presents "A Man Called Dog", a one-hour tv special through the past with Dog, his wife Beth and his posse, as the present day bounty hunter journeys through his origins in Colorado and Texas to reunite with old friends and mentors.

The special premieres Tuesday, August 14, at 9:00PM ET/PT.

"A Man Called Dog" is the cornerstone programming event of A&E's "DOG DAYS OF SUMMER", which includes a viewers’ choice marathon on Monday, August 13, 9PM – 11PM and an all day "Dog the Bounty Hunter" marathon, Tuesday, August 14, 8:00AM – 9:00PM.

"Dog the Bounty Hunter" is produced by Hybrid Films for A&E Network. Lucas Platt and Rick Smigelski are the Series Producers. David Houts and Daniel Elias executive produce for Hybrid Films. Robert Sharenow and Neil A. Cohen serve as the A&E executive producers
