Vancouver is gearing up for the September start of "The Watchmen", director Zack "300" Snyder's take on the 12-issue DC graphic novel series by writer Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons.The project was picked up by Warner Bros Pictures for development after being stalled at Paramount.
Set in 1985, premise takes place in an 'alternative' US where costumed 'adventurers' are real and the country is edging closer to a nuclear war.
Focus is on a group of past and present superheroes, depicted as real people who must confront ethical issues, led by costumed hero 'Rorschach' who lives a vigilante lifestyle because superheroes have been outlawed.
