Actor Mike "Austin Powers" Myers will star in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", an update of the 1947, Danny Kaye-starring comedy.
The project was moved from Paramount to 20th Century Fox, with writer Jay "The Simpsons" Kogen penning the screenplay.
Samuel Goldwyn Jr. and John Goldwyn will produce.
The original film was based on a short story by author James Thurber.
While "Mitty" continues developing, Toronto-born Myers will star as 'self-help guru Pitka', in the Paramount comedy "The Love Guru", now prepping for a Toronto-shoot in September.
Myers will then star as Who drummer Keith Moon, in the biopic "See Me, Feel Me: Keith Moon Naked for Your Pleasure", with Who lead singer, Roger "Tommy" Daltrey producing.
