Background Casting had scheduled interviews between 12 noon and 12:45 for ACTRA members and 12:45 to 1:30 PM for non-union performers, after having put the call out to Toronto agents last week, looking for performers to play 'Senators' and 'Spanish-looking' types.
"The Incredible Hulk" will star Liv "The Lord of the Rings" Tyler as 'Betty Ross', girlfriend of 'Dr. Bruce Banner' (Edward Norton).
According to reports, the premise of the new film, directed by Louis "Danny The Dog" Leterrier will start with Betty and Bruce separated romantically while Banner is on the run from the government. Before long, she will need his assistance and will become tragically involved in his world all over again.
The new film will create 400 jobs in the city, according to Toronto Mayor David Miller.
As Sneak Peek previously reported February 15, both Toronto and Vancouver were being scouted as possible shooting locations.
Marvel, the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Film and Television Office of the City of Toronto confirmed the shoot Feb 26.
"This timely decision reinforces Toronto's status as the national center of excellence and will serve as a strong kick-off to our 2007 production year," said Mayor David Miller.
"This is a testimonial to the world-class locations, crews and production facilities that Toronto and Ontario have to offer," added OMDC acting CEO Kristine Murphy.
"The Incredible Hulk" is produced by Avi Arad, Kevin Feige and Gale Anne Hurd.
