Wild Hogs at the "Super Bowl"

According to the CRTC's 'simultaneous substitution rule', Canadian viewers will be unable to see the multi-million dollar commercial spots and advance movie trailers, airing on CBS, in support of this year's "Super Bowl", with the broadcaster, Global TV, forced to replace the US signal with Canadian commercials.

US advertisers pay as much as US$2.6 million for a 30-second spot during the "Super Bowl" telecast.

CanWest MediaWorks, owners of Canada's Global TV, said the CRTC regulation is "extremely complex, and it's unique to this market - it's the only place in the world where this happens."

During the game on Sunday, AOL Canada will stream all the US commercials, including the new
