According to reports, Dominic "Swordfish" Sena will direct "Whiteout" in Montreal and Manitoba, mid-March.Premise is described as "an Antarctic whodunit" adapted from a series of ONI Press graphic novels by Greg Rucka.
Kate "Underworld" Beckinsale is in negotiations to star in the film, from a screenplay by Erich and Jon Hoeber.
The film will be produced under Joel "Lethal Weapon" Silver's Dark Castle production banner and distributed by Warner Bros.
"Whiteout" focuses on 'US Marshal Carrie Stetko' who uncovers a crime in Antarctica just as the sun is about to set for six months.Sena is noted as the director of "Swordfish", starring John Travolta.
