Canines Unleashed For "Dog Show USA"

Pet owners across the US unite in this second annual dog show with America’s 60 million pooches eligible to win “Best in Show.”

Online at DogShowUSA , every dog in America will compete on even terms, with public votes casting the winner.

Launching in conjunction with the holiday season, “Dog Show USA Presented by Purina,” hosts competitions in 11 categories.

Prizes include a trip to Philadelphia for The National Dog Show Presented by Purina, a one year supply of Purina Dog Chow dog food, a sweepstakes for a trip for four to Universal Studios, Orlando Florida, iPods and doggie grooming kits.

Last year’s show produced winners including 'Tillie', a Dachshund/Cocker Spaniel mix from Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, selected by the public as “Best in Show.”

January 4, 2007, blue ribbon panel judges will choose 10 finalists from each category with winners announced Monday February 26 at the Chicago Dog Show.

The top dog will also be featured on-air during an NBC SportsDesk broadcast March 3, 2007.
