Strike Entertainment, producers of remake "Dawn of the Dead", "Slither" and the upcoming Montreal-shot, comic book-to-film "300", are developing a prequel to director John Carpenter's 1982 horror film "The Thing", based on author John W. Campbell's short story "Who Goes There?"Since the film's original release, Dark Horse Comics continued the stories of the intergalactic 'thing' in a graphic novel miniseries throughout the 1990's.
"The Thing" video game, baed on the film, is also in release.
Strike Entertainment are currently shopping for a screenwriter.
