Trucks are parked under sunny skies along Slocan Road, off Broadway in East Vancouver, for the filming of director Christian Alvart's thriller "Case 39", starring Renée Zellweger and Ian McShane.Written by Ray Wright, "Case 39" follows social worker 'Emily Jenkins' (Zellweger), who fights to save a girl from abusive parents, only to discover the situation is more dangerous than she expected.
Actor McShane, a cult favorite for his work in the HBO series "Deadwood" and caper feature "Sexy Beast" co-stars as 'Mike Barron'.
