"Tomb Raider: Legend"

February 26, 2006

Games publisher Eidos have announced that British actress Keeley Hawes, noted for her role as 'Zoe Reynolds' on the BBC's "Spooks" will voice 'Lara Croft' for the upcoming "Tomb Raider: Legend" game.

"Legend" is the seventh entry in the popular games franchise, that inspired two Paramount features starring actress Angelina Jolie.

"Lara Croft is such a strong and powerful character," Hawes said.

"But she also has an edge to her, which was great to portray vocally. Lara is getting up to all sorts of trouble in "Legend" and I am sure the fans won't be disappointed!"

"Keeley is perfect for the voice of Lara" said Matt Gorman, Brand Controller for the "Tomb Raider" games.

"She has the right balance of aristocracy and attitude to really bring to life Miss Croft in all her glory."

Earlier this month, Eidos announced British actress/model Karima Adebibe as the new "Tomb Raider" 'spokesmodel'.

"Tomb Raider: Legend" debuts April 11 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC, with Xbox 360 and PSP platforms slated for September 2006.
