Development continues on a live-action “ROM: Spaceknight” movie for Paramount Pictures and Hasbro's Allspark Pictures, with screenwriter Zak Penn (“The Avengers”, “X-Men: The Last Stand”) attached to write the screenplay, based on the collectible Hasbro ‘cyborg’ toy line and Marvel Comics series:
“…’Rom’, a hero from the utopian planet ‘Galador’ fights the shape-shifting, magic-wielding alien race the ‘Dire Wraiths’…
“…on Galador and across the Earth…”
The project is planned as part of a broader Hasbro-Paramount cinematic universe that includes properties “Transformers”, “G.I. Joe” and “Micronauts”.
