“Avatar: Fire and Ash”


After 3 years of shooting, the feature “Avatar: Fire and Ash”, the third installment in the “Avatar” perfomance capture film series, is directed by James Cameron, starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, David Thewlis and Oona Chaplin, releasing December 19, 2025 in theaters:


“…in the first ‘Avatar’ film (2019), in the year 2154, Earth suffers from resource exhaustion and ecological collapse. The ‘Resources Development Administration’ (‘RDA’) mines the valuable mineral ‘unobtanium’ on ‘Pandora’, a lush habitable moon orbiting a gas giant in the ‘Alpha Centauri’ star system. 


“Pandora, whose atmosphere is inhospitable to humans, is inhabited by the ‘Na'vi’…


“…10-foot-tall, blue-skinned, sapient humanoids that live in harmony with nature. 


“To explore Pandora, genetically matched human scientists control Na'vi-human hybrids called ‘avatars’.


“Former ‘Marine Jake Sully’ is recruited by the RDA to replace his deceased identical twin, who had signed up to be an operator. ‘Avatar Program’ head Dr. Grace Augustine considers Jake inadequate, but accepts him as an operator…”
