Scarlett Johansson: “Blonde Phantom”

Actress Scarlett Johansson continues developing her latest live-action Disney+ project,  “Blonde Phantom’, based on a 1940’s Marvel Comics character:

Created for Marvel predecessor Timely Comics by writers Al Sulman, Stan Lee and illustrator Syd Shores,  “The Blonde Phantom” debuted in Timely’s “All Select Comics” #11 (1946)…

…following ‘Louise Grant’,  a secretary at the ‘Mark Mason Detective Agency’, who is secretly in love with her boss. When he is on a case, Louise takes off her glasses and lets her hair down, becoming a glamorous masked hero, rescuing him from danger.

But Mason is only in love with the ‘Blonde Phantom’ and has no interest in Louise, his deliberately mousy secretary back at the office.

But the couple had a daughter, ‘Wanda Louise Mason’, introduced in Marvel’s “The Sensational She-Hulk” #21 (1990)…

…who followed in her mother's crime-fighting legacy, becoming the new ‘Phantom Blonde’, recruited for the government superhero-training program, ‘Initiative’.

Marvel’s ’A-Force’, featuring an all-female team of "Avengers", debuted as part of an alternate universe in the story arc 'Secret Wars' .

"In a secluded corner of the 'Battleworld', an island nation is fiercely protected by a team of 'Avengers' the likes of which has only ever been glimpsed before…

"Fighting to protect the small sliver of their world that's left, the amazing 'A-Force' stands shoulder-to-shoulder, ready to take on the horde..."
