“Sheena:Queen of the Jungle”

Dynamite Entertainment’s “Sheena: Queen of the Jungle” #4, now available, is written by Wes Clark Jr. and Steven E. De Souza, with illustrations by Ediano Silva and covers by Lucio Parrillo, John Royle, and Arthur Suydam:

‘…it’s the 400th anniversary of the exclusive boarding school L’ecole des Jeunes Filles du Val Verde, and as the clock ticks down to the ceremony, the menace cranks up!

“More and more of the students have fallen under the sway of the eerie cult of the ‘Blessing Goddess’. ‘Sheena’ mentor ‘Don Felipe’ has to make a daring prison break. And Sheena and ‘Bob’ are trapped between an army of mercenaries and a stampede of hippos!

‘And as if that’s not bad enough, the identity of the mysterious mastermind behind it all is finally revealed, and he’s someone whom everyone considers above reproach … and who is dangerously close to Sheena!…”

In other ‘Sheena’ news, Millennium Films continues to develop another live-action reboot of "Sheena Queen Of The Jungle", noted as the first female character to receive her own comic book title in 1938.

"Sheena is the young daughter of African explorer ‘Cardwell Rivington'. On a safari with his daughter, Cardwell dies from drinking a magic potion made by the witch doctor 'Koba'.

"Koba the raises the young girl as his daughter, teaching her 'the ways of the jungle' .

"The adult Sheena, dancing to the beat of a different drummer, eventually earns the title "Queen of the Jungle"...

"...and acquires a monkey sidekick named 'Chim'..."
