Sweeney first appeared in the Netflix series "Everything Sucks!" (2018) with recurring roles in the Hulu series "The Handmaid's Tale" (2018)...

...and HBO miniseries "Sharp Objects" (2018). In 2019, she began starring in the HBO teen drama series "Euphoria".

Sweeney also guest starred in the TV series "90210", "Criminal Minds", "Grey's Anatomy"...

..."In the Vault" and "Pretty Little Liars".

In film, Sweeney had a cameo role as 'Snake' in director Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood" (2019), co-stars in "Madame Web" (2023), cast in a new version of  "Barbarella" (2024) and currently stars in the rom-com “Anyone But You”.
