'Writers Guild of America' Make A Deal

After striking for 146 days, because of "low residuals" and "a lack of streaming data", the 'Writers Guild of America' have reached a tentative deal with the 'Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers' for their 11,000 dues-paying members:

We negotiated intent on making a fair deal,” said the WGA, “ and  the strike vote gave us the leverage to make some gains ..."

Going into the talks, the guild had been seeking a major overhaul in compensation and residuals as well as curbs on ‘mini-rooms’, where groups of writers work in advance of the production of a television series to break stories and write scripts.
