A new spinoff TV series based on the 2014 sci-fi superhero action movie "Lucy" , starring Scarlett Johansson is in active development, for producers EuropaCorp and Village Roadshow:
"...'Lucy Miller', a student in Taipei, finds herself coerced into working as a drug mule for Taiwan's most dangerous man, 'Mr Jang'..
"Having no other choice, Lucy is unwillingly subjected to a quick operation, where a synthetic, highly experimental drug is implanted inside her lower abdomen to transport it through customs.
"However, when the potent blue chemical leaks into her bloodstream, the lethal dose initiates a mind-boggling development of her cerebral activity, unlocking extraordinary skills, and unfathomable abilities, with her new superpowers growing stronger by the minute..."
Directed by Luc Besson, "Lucy", budgeted at $39 million, grossed over $463 million at the box office.
