Director Sam Raimi ("Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness") is developing a direct sequel to his 1998 feature "Darkman", originally starring Liam Neeson as scientist 'Peyton Westlake', who survives the aftermath of an attack with superhuman athletic abilities and a realistic mask making process:
"...'Westlake' (Neeson) is left for dead by mobster 'Robert Durant' (Larry Drake), after his girlfriend, attorney 'Julie Hastings' (Frances McDormand), runs afoul of corrupt developer 'Louis Strack Jr' (Colin Friels).
