"Batman: Caped Crusader" Lives


"Batman: Caped Crusader" the new 10-episode animated TV series  produced by Matt Reeves, J. J. Abrams and Bruce Timm, recently canceled by HBO Max before its 2023 launch, is now receiving interest from multiple streamers including Apple, Hulu, and Netflix:


"......the series,  exploring the thrilling, cinematic and evocative noir roots of 'Batman’ while diving deeper into the psychology of DC's iconic comic book characters, is being shopped around by Warner Bros Animation along with other unreleased content including 'Merry Little Batman', 'The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Toons Movie', 'Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Toons Musical', 'Did I Do That to the Holidays: A Steve Urkel Story' and 'The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie'. 


"According to sources it’s not a 'quality' issue with the cancelation of programs scheduled for HBO Max, but rather one of money and the ‘fear’ of getting caught up in ‘wokism’. Studio brass believe selling off films will make them more money and less aggravation than airing them on their own streaming platform..."
