“Top Gun: Maverick” - “Hold My Hand”

Take a look at the new music video “Hold My Hand” by Lady Gaga, supporting "Top Gun: Maverick" directed by Joseph Kosinski as a sequel to "Top Gun" (1986), starring Tom Cruise reprising his role as 'Pete Mitchell' ('Maverick') , with Val Kilmer as 'Iceman', Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell and Lewis Pullman, opening May 27, 2022:

“…after more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy's top aviators, ‘Pete Maverick Mitchell’ is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who choose to fly it…”

Cruise reprises his role as 'Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell', a flight instructor and Kilmer reprises his role as (now) 'Vice Admiral Tom "Iceman" Kazansky', a fellow instructor and friend/former rival of Maverick.

In director Tony Scott's original "Top Gun", "...students at the US Navy's elite fighter weapons school compete to be best in the class, as one hotshot young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor not taught in the classroom..."

In 1986, "Top Gun" earned a Domestic Gross of $176,781,728 and International $177,030,000, for a worldwide total of $353,811,728.
