Director Sam Raimi ("Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness") is interested in creating a direct sequel to his 1998 feature "Darkman", that originally starred Liam Neeson as scientist 'Peyton Westlake', who is consumed with vengeance after attackers leave him disfigured but he survives with superhuman athletic abilities and a realistic mask making process:
"...'Westlake' (Neeson) is left for dead by mobster 'Robert Durant' (Larry Drake), after his girlfriend, attorney 'Julie Hastings' (Frances McDormand), runs afoul of corrupt developer 'Louis Strack Jr' (Colin Friels).

"...Westlake develops super-human abilities, which also have the unintended side-effect...
