Bradley Cooper's "Maestro"

Currently in pre-production Netflix is moving forward on the Leonard Bernstein biopic "Maestro", directed by and starring Bradley Cooper from a screenplay he co-wrote, produced by Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Todd Phillips:

Spielberg's latest feature, a reboot of the urban gang musical "West Side Story", incorporates Bernstein's musical score from the original 1961 film.

"...his blacklisting as a communist, then being cleared before he composed the Oscar-nominated score for 'On the Waterfront'...

"...his rousing score for 'The Great Escape', his worldwide fame for 'West Side Story', his, activism in the civil rights movement and outspoken views on ending the Vietnam War..."
