Mattel Films, Universal Pictures and Oscar winner Peter Farrelly, will produce a live-action movie based on the Emmy award-winning 1996 fantasy comedy TV series "Wishbone", following a Jack Russell Terrier with a wild imagination:
"...'Wishbone', a male tri-color 'Jack Russell Terrier', lives with his owner 'Joe Talbot' in Oakdale, Texas.
"He daydreams about being the lead character of stories from classic literature. He was known as 'the little dog with a big imagination'.
"Only characters in his daydreams can hear 'Wishbone' speak.
"The characters from his daydreams see Wishbone as whichever famous character he is currently portraying and not as a dog...
"...as he sees parallels between classic literature and the dilemmas he and his human friends face every day..."
