With the deadly ‘Covid-19’ virus continuing to impact the North American film industry, including a looming government investigation into ties between members of the US Democrat Party and the Communist Party of China, Walt Disney Studios have 'furloughed' employees from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Pixar, plus laid off 43,000 'Walt Disney World' theme park workers:
"The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact on our world with untold suffering and loss, and has required all of us to make sacrifices," said Disney.
"Over the last few weeks, mandatory decrees from government officials have shut down a majority of our businesses..."
