"Indiana Jones 5"



Producer Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that Lucasfilm and Disney, are on target for the July 9, 2021 release of "Indiana Jones 5", starring Harrison Ford, in a continuation of the character's story, picking up after the mind-blowing events of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull":


"I'm 'Indiana Jones'," said Ford. "When I'm gone, he's gone..."


"It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK," said director Steven Spielberg.


"The actors, and the crew...everybody who has helped me make my movies in the UK...


"...will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie..."


"There is only going to be one actor playing 'Indiana Jones' and that’s Harrison Ford.  The one thing I will tell you is I’m not killing off Harrison at the end..."


Asked if he sees his studio creating many more 'Indiana Jones' features, Disney CEO Bob Iger, said "Yes, I do. I don’t think it reaches the scale of the universe of 'Star Wars', but I see making more. It won't be just a one-off..."


"I didn't want to do it without Steven," said Ford about reprising his role in the new film as 'Indiana Jones'. "And I didn't want to do it without a really good script. And happily we're working on both. 


"Steven is developing a script now that I think we're going to be very happy with."
