"The Great Machine" On The Big Screen



Legendary Entertainment ("The Dark Knight"), will adapt creator Brian K. Vaughn's Eisner-award winning, 50-issue, Wildstorm superhero title "Ex Machina" (2004) as a live-action feature, titled "The Great Machine":


"...'Mitchell Hundred, the world's first and only superhero, after his intervention during the 9/11 attacks, is elected 'Mayor of New York City'. 


"Before becoming Mayor Hundred was known as 'The Great Machine', a hero who can communicate with and command any machine. 


"The story takes place during his term in office cut with flashbacks...


"...exploring political, religious issues and the mysteries behind Hundred's super powers..."


Along with "The Dark Knight", Legendary is also noted for big screen comic book adaptations "Batman Begins", "300", "Superman Returns", "300: Rise of An Empire", "Jonah Hex", "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Watchmen".
